In 1994, farmer Dave Rubey developed a herniated disk in his neck and had to have a cervical fusion. For eight weeks he was stuck wearing a full neck brace. Without being able to turn his head, harvesting crops seemed an impossible challenge.
Desperate for a solution, Dave searched for a camera system that could take the abuse of farming. His search failed, but led him to use his engineering and electronics knowledge to build the AgCam.
